summer poem
At night I use fans
to keep from getting too hot
at day I just sweat
Edited because I just can't spell.

A few to get you started
These are old ones that I'm putting up to get things rolling.
1) Rent is due this week
Bills scream to be paid "Now!"
let's face it, life sucks
2) Summer heat creeps in
sweat stains the sheets as we sleep
June? Too hot for love
3) With enough salsa
to mask the horrid bladness
fake beef tastes like food
4) Some english students
speak in little moth voices
and I can't hear them
5) My water bottle
is made of stainless metal
with a yellow cap
6)The students all have
electric dictionaries
but me? I have none
7) I think of stories
featuring Sherlock Holmes
for no real reason
8)Sometimes a warm coke
can energize a person
and help them learn more
9) Montreal's skyline
reaches up to the clouds
but is one colour
10) A short exercise
can take a very long time
if misunderstood
11) I read on my bed
virtually all the time
Man, I need a couch
12) The hairs on my arm
are coloured a strange two-tone
this confuses me
13) the cruel arctic wind
chills it's victims to the bone
even from afar
14) Man on the subway
sings "blowin' in the wind" twice
and annoys us all
15) The subway doors close
as I run fast to catch it
my commute gets longer
16) my grandmother's dog
is probably a demon hound
he chews everything
17) A morning pop quiz
though a good thing in theory
can shred student minds
You will note that I never said they were particularly good. Just that I occasionally write them

First post
I live in a big city. I occasionally write Haiku about...well, stuff. Things I see, things that pop into my head, that sort of thing. I've decided to start a blog devoted to them, largely because it amuses me to do so.
Enjoy. Or not. Either way really.
